Some Lesser Known Facts About M.S. Dhoni?

Most of the things have already known to you, so they are not lesser known facts anymore.
Here are some facts that I am sure not many people know:

1.     Man behind the helicopter shot :

We all know MS Dhoni for his helicopter shot right? He has made the shot his trademark. The shot was taught to him by his friend, former Jharkhand cricketer Santosh Lal. Unfortunately, Lal passed away at a young age of 32 in 2013. Dhoni had arranged for his treatment in Delhi, but couldn’t save him.

2.    Man/Woman behind his hairstyle :

Before the international media started to take note of his cricketing skills, Dhoni was making headlines for his look and hairstyle. His long locks had even made Pakistan President Parvez Musharraf his fan. But do you know what made his keep the long hair? It has his admiration for John Abraham. Dhoni is a huge fan of the fit actor and we guess it is because of this admiration that today and John and Dhoni are the best of friends.
But why were those long tresses cut short? Well, it was done for his beloved wife. It was Sakshi's decision to trim his hair :-)
3.    Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the first Indian cricketer (infact the first cricketer I think) to launch his own line of fragrances named '7 By MS Dhoni'
[That's the way , Maahi way]

Why 7 ? because his lucky number is 7 apparently (his jersey number as well)
In his own words , "I was born on the 7th of July in 1981, my jersey number is seven, and thus number seven is very special for me. I love the number 7." "It is a neutral number, it is neither negative or positive so that means the (fragrance) can reflect you. If you are positive and you work hard then it will all be positive for you."
The six fragrances under the collection of perfumes are named -
Intense, Power, Action, Connect, Cool and Energy.
4.    MS Dhoni’s rise to the highest level was not a smooth journey. Even after he made his Ranji Trophy debut at the age of 18 in 2000, he was still working as a Ticket Collector with the Indian Railways at the Kharagpur Railway Stadium in West Bengal. Dhoni worked there between 2001- 2003 while also playing his cricket.

5.    MS Dhoni owns a team in the FIM Supersport World Championship. He created this team in 2012 and named it MSD R-N Racing Team India. It was later named, Mahi Racing Team India, with Telugu actor A Nagarjuna also investing in the team.

6.    MS Dhoni has a few other business interests. He had earlier started a merchandise business in partnership with actor Dino Morrea. In 2009, there were reports that he was starting a multi-crore business partnership with Harbhajan Singh, his India teammate, but that did not materialise.

7.    Here is a story of a Train Ticket Examiner(TTE).
India was playing on a day during the 2003 Cricket World cup co hosted by South Africa. There were bunch of supervisors watching the match and this parcticlar TTE comes in and asks for the score.

TTE: Sirji, India ka score kya hua hai?
(Translation: Sir, what is india's score right now?)

Supervisor: Score jaan ke kya karloge? India ke liye world Cup jita ke laoge kya?
(Translation: what will you do after knowing the score? the world cup and get the cup back to India?)

And in the future that TTE was the one who won all the ICC tournaments for India and one of the best captains the cricketing world has produced.
That is M.S.Dhoni for you.

8.    Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of the highest individual tax payer in India. He paid more than Rs 12 crore income tax in 2013.

9.    In 2012 -2013 Mahi was also the highest paid cricketer in whole world. Forbes magazine listed MS Dhoni as the richest cricketer in the whole world for the first time.
